The TCA Racing Pro Marine Line is the new dedicated glow plug line developed specifically for model powerboat racing.
In Marine racing, the glow plug operates under particularly demanding conditions: the engine remains under high load for extended periods and may be subjected to highly tuned setups, with carburetion and compression ratio adjusted according to the racing conditions and the level of performance required.
In this context, a glow plug does not simply contribute to ignition. It also plays a role in combustion regularity, engine response and consistent performance throughout the run.
This is why the Pro Marine Line was created: a dedicated marine range developed to offer a more specific solution than a standard racing glow plug.
Why a dedicated marine line
Model powerboat racing requires components capable of working under severe and constant conditions.
During a race, the engine is exposed to high temperature, significant pressure and strong mechanical stress. Acceleration after corners is also a key factor: the engine needs to respond cleanly and progressively while maintaining consistency.
The main requirements of marine racing include:
• long runs under load;
• high operating temperature;
• high pressure;
• Engine setups and fuel-mixture settings focused on maximum performance.

Developed from real racing feedback
The Pro Marine Line was developed from real racing feedback and through direct exchange with marine racing pilots.
The development of the line was also supported by technical feedback from Sebastien Vidémont, 2026 World Champion in the 3.5 cc model powerboat category, who provided valuable input based on real racing conditions.
His feedback helped define some of the key aspects of the new line: increased robustness for intensive marine use, dedicated configuration, engine response and the choice of versions best suited to different racing conditions.
The Pro Marine Line is not simply an extension of the existing range, but a line developed with a clear purpose: to offer a dedicated glow plug for model powerboat racing.
The features of the Pro Marine Line
The new TCA Racing Pro Marine Line introduces a configuration designed for marine use.
One of the main aspects is the optimized assembly and soldering process, developed to achieve greater robustness in the intensive conditions typical of marine racing.
The line also features a specific hole design, intended to support torque and acceleration after corners, two particularly important aspects in model powerboat racing.

7P and 8P: two Pro Marine versions
The TCA Racing Pro Marine Line will initially include two versions:
• TCA Racing 7P Pro Marine
• TCA Racing 8P Pro Marine
The 7P is designed as the best compromise between throttle response, consistency and durability. It is the versatile option within the Pro Marine range, created for pilots looking for a good balance between engine response and resistance during long runs.
The 8P is recommended for hot racing conditions or for engines running a higher level of compression. In these cases, a cooler glow plug can help manage thermal conditions and engine behaviour more effectively.
Glow plug choice may still vary depending on engine, fuel, compression, propeller, temperature, race duration and overall set-up.
For this reason, it is always important to evaluate engine behaviour under your own racing conditions.
A new line for model powerboat racing
With the Pro Marine Line, TCA Racing introduces a range dedicated to a discipline where every technical detail can affect the result.
